Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Lyra, Tolarian Archangel as a token generator and card-advantage engine. By running 15 copies of Sphinx's Approach, the deck achieves high redundancy for card draw and Sphinx tutoring. Early turns establish mana with artifacts and cost reducers before casting Lyra on Turn 3. On Turn 4, instant-speed draw spells trigger Lyra's ability to create 3/3 flying Angel tokens. The midgame escalates quickly by exiling five copies of Sphinx's Approach from the graveyard to cheat powerful threats like Consecrated Sphinx and Sphinx of the Second Sun onto the battlefield. Interaction includes efficient counterspells, bounce spells, and Harbinger of the Seas to disrupt opponents. The deck wins by amassing flying creatures and clearing opposing boards with an overloaded Cyclonic Rift.
