mardu (kaalia of the vast) by seBsta

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast is the engine: every attack turns a hand full of Angels, Demons, and Dragons into free tapped-and-attacking threats. The primary route is to resolve Kaalia, protect her with boots or haste, and chain attack triggers. Isshin, Two Heavens as One is the hidden commander, doubling each attack trigger so Kaalia can put two creatures into play and making Scourge/Drakuseth payoffs snowball. Secondary paths are the Kaalia+Master of Cruelties one-shot, extra combat swings with Scourge of the Throne, and midrange beatdown with Gisela/Terror and Warstorm Surge. Reya, Liesa, and Shilgengar provide a grindier fallback if the attack plan is disrupted.
