Deck overview

This is a mono-black Necron artifact-tribal deck helmed by Imotekh the Stormlord, built around a mill-and-recur engine. The core loop is to put artifact cards into the graveyard - via Flayed One, Technomancer, Szarekh, the Silent King, Necron Monolith, and Out of the Tombs - then bring them back with unearth, Reanimate, Living Death, Victimize, and Whip of Erebos. Each time artifact cards leave the graveyard, Imotekh creates two 2/2 Necron Warrior tokens, building a board while the recursion engine grinds value. The deck wins primarily through combat with large flying artifact creatures like Shard of the Nightbringer, Shard of the Void Dragon, and Hexmark Destroyer, backed by drain outlets in Necron Overlord and Bolas's Citadel. It is a slow, value-dense grind deck that aims to out-muscle opponents with recursive threats and token swarms rather than assemble a fast combo.
