Deck overview

This Esper deck blends explosive artifact mana, Sphinx tribal synergies, and an efficient infinite-mana combo. Commanded by The Ur-Sphinx, the deck leverages eminence to reduce the cost of large flying Sphinxes while utilizing top-tier fast mana like Mishra's Workshop, Mana Vault, and Sol Ring to jump ahead of the curve. The primary win condition bypasses combat entirely by tutoring for and assembling Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth, generating infinite colorless mana to fuel a game-ending Torment of Hailfire or draw into overwhelming advantage via Chromatic Orrery. In games where the combo is delayed, the deck transitions into a potent midrange theft and beatdown plan, using card advantage engines such as The Theorist, Jace Beleren and Necropotence alongside combat triggers from Dazzling Sphinx and Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. With strong tutor density and efficient countermagic, the deck exerts rapid combo potential while maintaining high-impact board presence.
