Deck overview

This mono-black artifact-reanimator list is helmed by Imotekh the Stormlord, who turns every artifact card leaving the graveyard into a pair of 2/2 Necron Warrior tokens. The deck leans heavily on self-mill (Flayed One, Chronomancer, Out of the Tombs) to fill the bin, then uses reanimation spells (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Living Death) and unearth abilities to recur key threats. The primary win condition is an overwhelming combat step with a wide board of artifact creatures, often boosted by Skorpekh Lord and Imotekh's own pump ability. Secondary lines include a burst of tokens from Their Number Is Legion or a mass reanimation turn via Living Death. The deck is artifact-dense - roughly half the nonland cards are artifacts or artifact-dependent - giving it strong synergy but also a structural vulnerability to sweepers like Farewell.
