Kaalia Everything Under $1 by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu "Big Stompy" strategy centered on Kaalia of the Vast. The primary goal is to accelerate Kaalia onto the battlefield, protect her with haste or hexproof, and use her attack trigger to cheat massive, high-impact Angels, Demons, and Dragons into play. The deck leverages the ETB effects of creatures like Angel of Despair and Rune-Scarred Demon to control the board and tutor for finishers, while using Drakuseth, Maw of Flames and Steel Hellkite to dismantle opponent defenses. The strategy is highly linear, focusing on a single explosive combat phase to establish a dominant board state. While it lacks infinite combos, it achieves victory through overwhelming combat damage and the sheer value of high-CMC threats that bypass their mana costs. Kaalia is the absolute lynchpin of the deck; without her, the deck struggles to cast its expensive top-end.
