Deck overview

The Astonishing Ant-Man commands a versatile Simic engine that seamlessly translates card draw into +1/+1 counters and wide token armies. The deck focuses on accelerating into early draw engines like Rhystic Study, Proft's Eidetic Memory, and Skullclamp, rapidly growing the commander before cashing in counters for swarms of 1/1 Insect tokens. From there, mass pump effects such as Banner of Kinship, Eldrazi Monument, and Master Biomancer transform modest boards into lethal combat steps. Additionally, the deck packs an infinite creature combo in Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak, enabling immediate table-wide lethality when untapping. Robust interaction and redundant defensive spells like Heroic Intervention, Silkguard, and Slip Out the Back safeguard key pieces against sweepers and spot removal. While vulnerable to early disruption before establishing its card-flow engine, the deck maintains steady recovery through redundant threats and high-velocity draw loops.
