Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter as a rapid token engine that converts artifact creatures into Treasures and noncreature artifacts into Construct creature tokens. Backed by a dense package of two-mana mana rocks and artifact lands, the deck rapidly establishes its commander by Turn 3 and begins generating consistent board presence on Turn 4. The strategy combines value-generating artifacts like Skullclamp, Ichor Wellspring, and Academy Manufactor to draw multiple cards each turn cycle while accumulating sacrificial fodder. The primary path to victory revolves around assembling multi-piece combo loops using untap enablers such as Thornbite Staff or Clock of Omens alongside free sacrifice outlets and drain payoffs like Marionette Apprentice, Mayhem Devil, and Mirkwood Bats. While the deck features broad, efficient spot removal and exceptional graveyard recovery through cards like Sevinne's Reclamation and Goblin Welder, it remains vulnerable to artifact-disabling stax and dedicated stack interaction.
