Deck overview

Amarant Coral leads an explosive Gruul Voltron deck designed to turn a single combat connection into a simultaneous table-wide knockout. Amarant's No Mercy ability deals noncombat damage equal to its combat damage to each other opponent, bypassing the traditional single-target weakness of Voltron strategies. The deck accelerates into an early Turn 3 commander deployment using efficient one- and two-mana ramp. On Turn 4, it leverages power doublers such as Unleash Fury, Two-Handed Axe, and Xenagos, God of Revels, alongside double strike enablers like Lizard Blades and damage doublers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, to push massive trample or unblockable damage. A single 20-power hit eliminates the primary target through commander damage while wiping out the rest of the table through triggered damage. Robust defensive tools including Deflecting Swat, Heroic Intervention, and Conqueror's Flail shield Amarant during its critical swing window.
