Commander: Hashaton, Scarab's Fist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Esper self-discard reanimator deck built around Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The pilot's goal is to dump high-impact creature cards into the graveyard with cheap looters and discard outlets, then convert those discards into 4/4 Zombie tokens with the commander while Reanimate-class spells and mass recursion supply a second wave. Because Peregrine Drake untaps five lands when it enters, a discarded Drake refunds the commander's {2}{U} activation and lets several tokens be made in one turn. The deck wins through evasive beaters - Archon of Cruelty, Serra's Emissary, Absolute Virtue, Grave Titan - or through zombie-count drain from Gempalm Polluter and The Scarab God. Living Death and Bringer of the Last Gift turn a full graveyard into a one-sided board. It is a midrange value deck: consistent card flow, very light tutoring, high average mana value, and no early combo kill.
