Deck overview

The deck uses Giada, Font of Hope as both an Angel-only mana source and a scaling counter engine. Early turns develop lands, two-mana rocks, or cost reducers such as Starnheim Aspirant, Herald's Horn, and Urza's Incubator. From about turn 5, the deck can deploy several Angels ahead of their printed costs. Lifegain cards such as Righteous Valkyrie, Bishop of Wings, and Archangel of Thune improve combat stats and support card engines including Exemplar of Light and Well of Lost Dreams. The first decisive board usually appears around turn 6, but the finish remains combat-based rather than deterministic. A developed flying army can eliminate one opponent per combat over turns 6 through 8. Removal and sweepers are plentiful for a mono-white deck, but stack interaction and proactive denial are sparse. The deck can protect a board with indestructible effects, yet rebuilding after a wipe is slow because most threats and recursion pieces are expensive.
