New Untitled Deck by Xamuray

Format: Commander

Commander: Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Gruul deck is built entirely around the face-down mechanic, helmed by Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods. The commander provides three critical functions: haste for all other creatures, card draw whenever a face-down creature deals combat damage, and a recursion engine that returns face-down creatures to the battlefield when they die. The deck floods the board with morph, megamorph, disguise, manifest, and cloak creatures, turning them face up for value triggers while Yarus keeps the hand full and the board resilient. Primary win conditions include overwhelming combat damage from a wide board of face-down and face-up creatures, the explosive Pyrotechnic Performer dealing damage to each opponent when turned face up, and large finishers like Kozilek, the Broken Reality or Akroma, Angel of Fury. The deck is a slow, value-oriented engine that grinds out advantage through repeated face-down recursion and incremental card draw.
