Deck overview

This deck executes a focused monoblack attrition and Voltron strategy led by Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast. The game plan revolves around playing symmetrical sacrifice creatures such as Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Accursed Marauder. Whenever opposing creatures die, Vincent absorbs their power in the form of +1/+1 counters. Upon attacking, Vincent transforms into Galian Beast, a massive threat with trample and lifelink. This massive combat damage combines with lifegain drain engines like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity to pressure multiple opponents at once. Heavy graveyard recursion ensures that sacrificed utility creatures can be re-bought repeatedly, while big-mana finishers like Breach the Multiverse and Zodiark, Umbral God provide strong secondary win conditions if the commander is removed.
