This five-color deck is an exhibition showcase of the Ascend mechanic, utilizing Garth One-Eye as a flexible utility commander. The deck's primary strategy revolves around flooding the board with creature tokens using generators like Bitterblossom, Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, and Ocelot Pride to quickly reach the ten-permanent threshold for the City's Blessing. Once Ascend is permanently unlocked, cards like Tendershoot Dryad, Illustrious Wanderglyph, Twilight Prophet, and Pride of Conquerors receive massive buffs and advantages. The deck converts this board presence into a lethal clock through anthems such as Beastmaster Ascension and Cathars' Crusade. While the 5-color manabase is well-tuned with shock lands and fetch lands, the deck deliberately trades cutthroat combo lines for thematic cohesion, relying on fair combat steps to eliminate all three opponents.
