Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Group Hug and Pillowfort strategy commanded by Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis. It accelerates the entire table's mana velocity and card draw using symmetrical enablers like Howling Mine, Heartbeat of Spring, Dictate of Kruphix, and Rites of Flourishing. While opponents benefit from the resource influx, the pilot establishes defensive barriers such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Collective Restraint, and Pramikon, Sky Rampart to divert aggression elsewhere. Once mana and card velocity are established, the deck pivots into decisive win conditions: Xyris, the Writhing Storm converts opponents' forced draws into massive Snake swarms, Avenger of Zendikar leverages heavy land drops for wide Plant armies, and Insurrection punishes opponents for committing large creature boards. Premium defensive instants like Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention shield the board as it prepares for lethal combat steps.
