Deck overview

This deck executes a high-tempo stompy strategy commanded by Rakdos, Lord of Riots. The game plan revolves around playing low-cost noncombat damage enablers on the first three turns, enabling Rakdos to enter the battlefield on Turn 4. Once Rakdos attacks and deals combat damage on Turn 5, the resulting cost reduction allows you to cast massive Eldrazi, artifact golems, and high-impact demons for little to no mana. A secondary win condition exists through Ancestral Statue, which can bounce itself repeatedly when fully discounted, triggering noncombat damage outlets like Agate Instigator and Molten Gatekeeper for an immediate victory. The deck features reliable land drops and high creature redundancy, though it relies heavily on keeping Rakdos on the board to bypass the high casting costs of its top-end threats.
