Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black combo-control build commanded by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. It turns the fundamental game action of card draw into an asymmetric weapon: you gain 2 life whenever you draw, while opponents lose 2 life for every card they draw. The deck leverages efficient mana acceleration like Dark Ritual and Cabal Coffers alongside a suite of black tutors to assemble game-ending combos. The primary win condition revolves around resolving Peer into the Abyss to draw half your library and gain massive life, storming off with Aetherflux Reservoir, or initiating an infinite drain loop between Exquisite Blood and effects like Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Stax-adjacent pieces like Opposition Agent and Painful Quandary tax opposing development while you assemble your win.
