Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary and operates as a big-mana midrange ramp strategy that converts large mana pools into decisive {X}-cost payoffs. The early game focuses on establishing mana velocity through low-cost land ramp spells like Three Visits and Farseek, deploying Zaxara on Turn 3. Once active, Zaxara provides two-mana acceleration and a scalable board presence, creating Hydra tokens whenever an {X} spell is cast. The midgame leverages explosive mana engines such as Nyxbloom Ancient, Unbound Flourishing, and Cabal Coffers alongside massive draw spells like Pull from Tomorrow and Hydroid Krasis to maintain a full hand. The deck reaches critical lethality on Turn 6, closing out the table in a single turn using finishers including Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, or Finale of Devastation. Broad removal and flexible board wipes provide stability against aggressive opponents.
