Deck overview

This Jund deck is an attrition-based midrange control strategy helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The game plan revolves around spreading -1/-1 counters across both sides of the battlefield to generate massive card advantage, drain opposing life totals, and systematically suppress creature-based strategies. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and deploying low-cost counter engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Devoted Druid. Once Auntie Ool, Cursewretch enters the battlefield on Turn 4, placing counters on your own creatures generates continuous card draw while punishing opponents for every counter placed on their creatures. In the mid-game, asymmetric lock pieces like Kulrath Knight, board wipers like Carnifex Demon, and theft effects like Necroskitter establish total board dominance. The deck concludes games through overwhelming combat damage from generated tokens and incremental drain, backed by an infinite loop between Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Blowfly Infestation.
