Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Demon tribal deck commanded by Rakdos, Lord of Riots. Its central engine hinges on dealing early combat or burn damage to opponents to satisfy Rakdos's cast condition, then using Rakdos's substantial cost-reduction ability to flood the battlefield with massive, evasive Demons well ahead of normal timing. Once the board is established, damage multipliers like Archfiend of Despair, board control engines like Archfiend of Depravity, and direct-damage enchantments like Warstorm Surge rapidly convert combat swings into a lethal table clock. The deck features strong creature-based interaction and asymmetric sweepers such as In Garruk's Wake, but relies almost entirely on natural toughness and pressure rather than stack interaction or dedicated protection spells to keep its commander safe.
