Deck overview

This Boros Equipment deck is helmed by Cloud, Planet's Champion, a commander that becomes a double-striking, indestructible engine once suited up and reduces equip costs. The primary plan is to cast Cloud early, outfit him with a cheap Equipment (often via Sigarda's Aid or Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist), then use the deck's high density of extra-combat cards-Agitated Assault, Aurelia, the Warleader, Helm of the Host, Genji Glove-to chain attacks in a single turn. Simultaneously, the wide array of Equipment tutors (Stoneforge Mystic, Fighter Class, Steelshaper's Gift) and draw engines (Puresteel Paladin, Wylsen, Soul of Steel, Mask of Memory) keep the gas flowing. The commander is the primary beatstick, but alternate threats such as Godo and Adelbert Steiner can carry the game if Cloud stays in the command zone.
