Deck overview

Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy plus Passionate Archaeologist is an Izzet spellslinger deck that wins by turning cheap instants and sorceries into both card advantage and direct damage. Gale's recursion casts an instant after a sorcery (or vice versa) from the graveyard, while the Background turns every spell cast from exile into commander damage. The primary line is a compact copy-spell combo: cast a low-X burn spell and use Increasing Vengeance with Twincast, Return the Favor, and Narset's Reversal to generate lethal copies. A secondary route uses exile-draw effects and ritual mana to burn via Guttersnipe, Electrostatic Field, Unruly Catapult, and Passionate Archaeologist. The low average mana value and many cantrips make the deck fast, though the 30-land manabase can stumble.
