Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Voltron strategy commanded by Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima. The game plan revolves around exploiting Jin's combat ability, which grants either double strike (Standoff) or unblockability (Ghost) whenever a single creature attacks an opponent, while drawing cards whenever Jin connects. The 99 features a dense suite of equipment tutors like Open the Armory, Steelshaper's Gift, and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary that rapidly assemble game-ending armaments such as Excalibur, Sword of Eden, Buster Sword, and the 'Sword of' cycle. Free-equip and flash enablers such as Forge Anew and Sigarda's Aid bypass equip sorcery-speed timing, while defensive tools like Mithril Coat, Silver Shroud Costume, and Voice of Victory protect the commander from targeted disruption. Although the deck relies on sequential combat steps to eliminate opponents one by one across two response cycles, its card draw, mana efficiency, and high burst damage make it a resilient combat engine.
