Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Mardu artifact strategy led by Megatron, Tyrant. The primary plan leverages Megatron's alternate casting cost via More Than Meets the Eye to deploy him early as an aggressive Vehicle. In combat, Megatron sacrifices high-mana-value artifacts like Su-Chi Cave Guard, Metalwork Colossus, and Bygone Colossus to remove opposing creatures and deal massive excess burn directly to opponents. Converting Megatron allows you to harvest that dealt damage as a massive pool of postcombat colorless mana. This mana fuels explosive turns, casting game-ending threats such as Krang, Utrom Warlord, reanimating full graveyards with Wake the Past, or casting a lethal Torment of Hailfire. The deck backs up this aggressive engine with efficient Mardu spot removal, asymmetric board wipes like Their Name Is Death, and protective pieces like Deflecting Swat and Mishra, Tamer of Mak Fawa to overwhelm the table through direct damage and crushing combat steps.
