Deck overview

This deck is a colorless stax and prison list led by Karn, Argent Defender. The commander acts as a reliable Torpor Orb in the command zone, shutting down enters-the-battlefield triggers for artifacts and creatures starting on turn 2. The strategy revolves around deploying dense layers of symmetrical resource denial, including Winter Orb, Static Orb, Cursed Totem, and Damping Sphere. The deck breaks parity through colorless mana generation, static cost reducers like Forsaken Monument, and tap manipulators such as Relic Barrier and Icy Manipulator. Once opposing mana development and creature abilities are suppressed, the deck transitions into lethal threat deployment around turn 6. It closes games using heavy colorless beaters like Blightsteel Colossus and Cityscape Leveler, or by assembling hard locks such as Karn, the Great Creator paired with Mycosynth Lattice. With no artifact tutors, the list relies on natural draw steps and functional redundancy across its stax pieces.
