Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Spellslinger Burn strategy commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap Wizard creatures and mana rocks in the opening turns, casting Kuja on Turn 4, and accumulating Wizard tokens via Kuja's end-step ability. Once four Wizards are assembled on Turn 5, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, doubling all noncombat damage dealt by Wizards. From there, a flurry of low-cost instants, sorceries, and cantrips triggers each Wizard to deal 2 damage per spell to every opponent, burning the table out by Turn 7. The deck features dense 1-2 CMC ramp and an extensive instant-speed removal suite to keep opposing threats in check. Its primary limitations stem from a lack of stack-based interaction, vulnerability to creature sweepers that clear Wizard tokens, and reliance on natural card draw to find critical damage enhancers.
