Format: Commander

Commander: Yawgmoth, Thran Physician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yawgmoth, Thran Physician leads a mono-black aristocrats/combo deck that converts creatures into cards, -1/-1 counters, and death-trigger drains. The primary plan is to generate cheap tokens (Jadar, Ophiomancer, Pawn of Ulamog), sacrifice them to Yawgmoth for card draw and removal, and finish with Gray Merchant loops under Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. A secondary big-mana plan uses Crypt Ghast and Cabal Coffers to cast a lethal Exsanguinate. The commander is both the draw engine and the sacrifice outlet; there is no hidden commander. The deck is efficient, resilient to board wipes, and can pivot between combo and value-based attrition depending on the table.
