Deck overview

This deck is a classic five-color Dragon tribal build commanded by The Ur-Dragon. Taking full advantage of eminence, the deck discounts large flying threats while utilizing low-cost mana dorks and rocks to accelerate into game-dominating beaters. Once mana is established, engines like Temur Ascendancy, Elemental Bond, and Garruk's Uprising convert each subsequent Dragon cast into immediate card velocity and haste. Threats such as Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm and Lathliss, Dragon Queen double the board presence, while Scourge of Valkas and Dragon Tempest convert wide Dragon boards into lethal direct damage. To protect its massive sorcery-speed investments, the list incorporates turn-silencing effects like Dragonlord Dromoka and Conqueror's Flail alongside a versatile package of targeted removal and countermagic. It reliably pressures the table around Turn 6, converting air superiority and combat multipliers into full-table eliminations by Turn 8.
