Keeping Up With Obeka by user4235621

Format: Commander

Commander: Obeka, Splitter of Seconds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Obeka, Splitter of Seconds turns a single unblocked hit into two bonus upkeep steps, and this Grixis list is built entirely around that trigger. Monarch Courts, suspend ramp, Dragons, and drain effects are stacked so each extra upkeep creates tokens, draws cards, and deals damage. The primary line is to make Obeka hasty and evasive, connect, then run the upkeep payoffs repeatedly; if the engine is disrupted, a secondary voltron path uses Blackblade Reforged and Rogue's Passage. The deck's hidden commander is the upkeep trigger itself, not a second face-Obeka is a single-faced commander, and both the combat trigger and the surrounding cards point to the same game plan: generate extra upkeeps and convert them into board advantage and burn.
