Deck overview

This Bant deck combines Bird tribal synergies and evasive flying creatures with the untap triggers of Derevi, Empyrial Tactician. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost fliers like Watcher of the Spheres, Senu, Keen-Eyed Protector, and Lifecreed Duo to establish aerial presence. On Turn 4, Derevi, Empyrial Tactician enters to convert combat connections into additional mana velocity by untapping lands and bounce lands. Midgame value engines like Coastal Piracy, Reconnaissance Mission, and Choco, Seeker of Paradise keep cards flowing. The deck transitions into a lethal clock by stacking team-wide anthems such as Murmuration, Empyrean Eagle, and Kangee, Sky Warden, turning small fliers into a decisive aerial strike force. While the commander's tax-exempt activated ability provides excellent resilience against commander-targeted removal, the deck remains vulnerable to board wipes due to a lack of team-wide indestructible or phase-out protection.
