Deck overview

This deck is a focused Gruul modified beatdown deck led by Chishiro, the Shattered Blade. It combines low-cost Auras and Equipment with +1/+1 counter engines to create an evasive, wide army. Early turns deploy efficient 1- and 2-mana ramp to land Chishiro ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4. Once operational, every modification generates a 2/2 menace Spirit token, which Chishiro buffers each turn with additional +1/+1 counters. Synergies like Kodama of the West Tree, Champion of Lambholt, and Uncivil Unrest grant crucial evasion and doubled damage to convert tall boards into lethal combat swings. While the deck possesses a rich suite of instant-speed protection to guard against destruction and targeted removal, its linear reliance on the combat phase and limited reactive disruption leave it vulnerable to faster combo decks and mass exile sweepers like Farewell.
