Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control strategy centered on Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The game plan revolves around casting Eluge early to distribute flood counters across your lands whenever it enters or attacks. These flood counters continuously scale Eluge's power and toughness while drastically reducing the mana cost of your first instant or sorcery spell cast on every turn cycle. This discount allows you to cast expensive draw spells, extra turn sorceries, and high-impact counterspells while leaving mana open to interact on opponents' turns. Without relying on compact infinite combos or fast mana rocks, the deck plays a classic draw-go control game, using dense countermagic and mass bounce spells to stall the table. It converts this advantage into victory by making Eluge unblockable through auras and equipment, taking bonus turns, and eliminating opponents one by one with lethal Commander damage.
