Deck overview

The Sentry, Golden Guardian is a mono-white Voltron and pillowfort deck designed to leverage a resilient 5/5 flying, indestructible commander. While casting The Sentry gifts an opponent The Void, the deck mitigates this drawback using defensive tax pieces and evasion. The primary win condition is eliminating players through lethal commander damage by stacking high-impact equipment, double strike enablers, and massive power buffs like Colossus Hammer and Excalibur, Sword of Eden. Alternatively, a hard lock can be achieved by equipping Worldslayer to the indestructible commander to repeatedly wipe all other permanents and close out the game uncontested.
