Commander: Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Tergrid, God of Fright leads a mono-black attrition strategy that turns opposing resources into an overwhelming board state. The front face steals any nontoken permanent an opponent sacrifices or any permanent card they discard. The deck is packed with cheap discard creatures, symmetrical edict effects, and hand disruption designed to dismantle opposing game plans while stocking the graveyard. Once Tergrid hits the battlefield, cards like Fleshbag Marauder, Invoke Despair, and Pox Plague trigger massive theft waves that seize the opponents' best threats and lands. The deck wins by attacking with stolen creatures or draining out remaining life totals using Megrim, Fell Specter, and Tergrid's Lantern.
