Deck overview

This Simic control deck is commanded by Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student // Tamiyo, Seasoned Scholar. The strategy focuses on deploying Tamiyo on Turn 1 and transforming her by Turn 3 by drawing three cards in a single turn using cheap cantrips, Clue tokens, and draw spells. Once transformed, the deck defends its planeswalkers using Tamiyo's +2 attack reduction, creature neutering from Oko, Thief of Crowns, and an array of fog effects like Constant Mists and Tangle. Proliferate engines like Evolution Sage, Flux Channeler, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus rapidly increase loyalty counters. The deck achieves victory by triggering Tamiyo's -7 ultimate to draw half the library, untapping on the following turn to close the game with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, or alternatively by accumulating lethal poison counters across the table with Prologue to Phyresis and Radstorm.
