Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white Voltron strategy commanded by Yuriko, Blade of the Mighty. Yuriko provides two distinct advantages: she completely locks opponents out of casting spells or activating non-mana abilities during combat, and she grants double strike to any creature attacking alone. The deck leverages these abilities by deploying inexpensive equipment and auras such as Commander's Plate, Shadowspear, and Spirit Mantle onto Yuriko or evasive backup creatures. Because opponents cannot interact during the combat phase, the deck bypasses flash blockers and combat tricks entirely. However, because Yuriko requires attacking alone to trigger double strike, the deck must eliminate each opponent sequentially. Without tutors for key equipment or extra combat steps, the clock is inherently protracted, taking several turn rotations to defeat a full pod. A dense suite of protective spells guards Yuriko during opponents' main phases.
