Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is built around Smaug the Impenetrable as a resilient, hasty beatstick that doubles as a treasure engine when dealt noncombat damage. The primary game plan is to generate massive numbers of Treasure tokens through rituals, sacrifice outlets, and triggered abilities, then convert them into victory via drain effects (Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice), the Revel in Riches alternate win condition, or a massive Crackle with Power. The commander's indestructible and haste allow immediate pressure, while pieces like Pestilence / Pyrohemia let you damage Smaug deliberately to flood the board with Treasures. The deck leans on a synergistic treasure loop backed by token doublers (Xorn, Academy Manufactor) and multiple ritual effects to accelerate its clock.
