Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy build commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan accelerates mana on turns 1 and 2 to deploy undercosted, high-power beaters like Rhonas the Indomitable, Wayward Swordtooth, or Tangleweave Armor. This quickly discounts Ghalta down to its minimum cost of {G}{G}. Once Ghalta is on the battlefield, the deck triggers powerful card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, The Great Henge, and Return of the Wildspeaker to refill its hand. It closes games through overwhelming trampling combat damage boosted by Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, and The Skullspore Nexus. While the deck is susceptible to board wipes and lacks taxing stax pieces, its raw mana velocity, massive card bursts, and high threat redundancy make it a fast, resilient combat deck.
