Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed anchors an Esper control/drain deck: every MV3+ noncreature spell doubles as a burn spell and, once opponents lose 4+ life, a draw trigger. The primary plan is to deploy Y'shtola early, chain instants/sorceries with recurred spells, and use Papalymo, Transpose Wizard tokens, and G'raha to multiply the drain. The commander is simultaneously the deck's main engine; there is no hidden commander. Secondary paths include Exsanguinate burst damage, Fandaniel's end-step sacrifice/drain, and a flying-token backup plan from Inkshield and Akroma's Will. The deck controls the board with cheap counters, spot removal, and mass wipes while it grinds toward lethal.
