MG Hydra by joshlaurel52

Format: Commander

Commander: Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Mono-green Hydra deck built around Gargos as both a major cost reducer and a repeatable fight engine. The primary plan is to deploy large X-cost Hydras early with Gargos and artifact discounts, then multiply their +1/+1 counters through Branching Evolution, Vorinclex, Unbound Flourishing, and Bristly Bill. Secondary wins use Hydra Omnivore plus Triumph of the Hordes to put 9 poison counters on each opponent, or Overwhelming Stampede to turn a wide board of trampling Hydras into lethal damage. Gargos turns removal and pump spells aimed at your own creatures into free fight triggers, keeping blockers clear while a giant Hydra attacks. The deck has no double-faced or hidden commander; it is built purely around Gargos's two roles.
