Deck overview

This deck is a Jund midrange attrition engine centered on The Reaper, King No More and -1/-1 counter synergies. Its primary game plan distributes -1/-1 counters across opposing creatures to shrink threats, generate wide token armies with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs, and steal dying creatures using the commander and Necroskitter. By Turn 4, the deck establishes an operational counter engine, advancing by Turn 6 into critical onset through asymmetric locks like Kulrath Knight or mass suppression via Blowfly Infestation and Massacre Wurm. The deck disrupts opponents with a dense suite of flexible removal including Assassin's Trophy, Abrupt Decay, and Beast Within. However, it lacks stack interaction and dedicated board protection, leaving its multi-turn combat and drain finish vulnerable to board wipes. When uninterrupted, the deck closes the game around Turn 9 by swarming opponents with deathtouch tokens and life-draining triggers.
