Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai legendary Wizard tribal strategy commanded by Gandalf, Party Guest. The deck utilizes an exceptionally high concentration of cheap, legendary Wizards to rapidly inflate Gandalf's combat ability, allowing you to cast game-ending instants and sorceries for free at the beginning of combat. Early turns establish a low-curve creature presence alongside mana rocks and cost reducers. Once Gandalf enters, the deck transitions from value generation to overwhelming pressure by cheating devastating spells such as Surge to Victory, Call Forth the Tempest, Urza's Ruinous Blast, and Taunt from the Rampart. Card draw engines like Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Kindred Discovery keep your hand full of high-mana payoffs, while token generators like Kykar, Wind's Fury and Talrand, Sky Summoner build a wide, evasive board. The deck wins through explosive, one-sided combat steps and heavy burn.
