Deck overview

This deck is an Esper kindred strategy built around changeling creatures and universal typal synergies. By exploiting changelings' unique property of possessing every creature type at all times, the deck triggers powerful, narrow payoffs designed for distinct tribes. The Ur-Sphinx sits in the command zone, providing a passive eminence cost reduction of {1} to every changeling spell. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost shapeshifters and mana fixers. During the mid-game, the deck leverages these creatures as Wizards with Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Patron Wizard, as a full Party with Nalia de'Arnise and Coveted Prize, and as Dragons with Crux of Fate. The primary path to victory uses asymmetric board wipes such as Whelming Wave and Olivia's Wrath to clear opposing battlefields while leaving the changeling board unharmed, then finishes opponents through unblockable combat damage with Herald of Hoofbeats and life drain from Knights' Charge.
