Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Ygra, Eater of All as both a massive Voltron win condition and an asymmetric board engine. By turning all other creatures into Food artifacts, Ygra transforms standard artifact sweepers like Fade from History and Bane of Progress into one-sided board wipes that destroy opposing creatures while leaving Ygra alive and heavily buffed. In addition, the deck integrates a powerful Squirrel and Food token shell led by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Camellia, the Seedmiser, and Peregrin Took, providing redundant mana, card advantage, and aristocrat drain through Mirkwood Bats. The deck operates smoothly on curve with strong ramp, transition into a dominant board state by Turn 5, and reliably closes the game by Turn 7 through lethal commander damage or life drain.
