Deck overview

This Gruul Landfall deck leverages Omnath, Locus of Rage to convert explosive land acceleration into overwhelming board presence and direct burn. Supported by dense low-cost mana dorks and land-ramp spells, the deck consistently ramps ahead of curve, casting its seven-mana commander on Turn 4. Once Omnath is established, fetchlands, double-land triggers, and explosive spells like Boundless Realms rapidly generate armies of 5/5 Elemental tokens. Omnath's built-in death triggers provide natural insurance against destroy-based board wipes, punishing opponents with three direct damage for every dying Elemental. Secondary finishers such as Purphoros, God of the Forge, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, and Cultivator Colossus diversify the deck's lethal avenues through immediate ETB burn and extra combat phases. While vulnerable to early spot exile and lacking stack counterplay, the deck's high land density, redundant graveyard recursion, and interchangeable threats ensure resilient, compounding pressure across multiplayer pods.
