Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs wide token production with commander-centric mana reduction. It deploys low-cost mana dorks and passive token generators like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer during the opening turns. This rapid board development enables Witherbloom, the Balancer to enter the battlefield as early as Turn 3 or 4 for as little as two mana. Once on the field, Witherbloom grants all instant and sorcery spells affinity for creatures, reducing high generic costs to zero. The primary win condition loops Sprout Swarm with buyback, using newly created 1/1 Saprolings to pay convoke costs infinitely. Drain outlets such as Blood Artist and Witherbloom Apprentice convert this loop into an immediate table kill. Alternatively, the deck closes games by casting heavily discounted finishers like Torment of Hailfire or overrunning with Craterhoof Behemoth.
