Commander: Indominus Rex, Alpha

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai reanimator deck built around Indominus Rex, Alpha, using its ETB to discard high-keyword creatures-such as Sire of Seven Deaths and Stonehoof Chieftain-to pile keyword counters on the commander and draw a massive hand. The discarded creatures then become reanimation targets via Animate Dead, Necromancy, Living Death, and similar effects, creating a value loop that turns the graveyard into a second hand. The primary win condition is combat damage: the commander becomes an evasive, multi-keyword threat, while reanimated beaters with trample, haste, and hexproof close out games. Exponential Growth offers a one-shot kill on an unblocked creature. The deck lacks infinite combos and relies on incremental, board-state acceleration, making it a mid-power strategy that rewards careful sequencing and graveyard management.
