Deck overview

This deck is a five-color tribal midrange and control strategy centered on Reaper King. The core game plan focuses on fixing all five colors in the early turns using efficient ramp spells and shocklands. Once Reaper King enters the battlefield on Turn 5, every subsequent Scarecrow or Changeling cast triggers a targeted permanent destruction effect. The deck amplifies this trigger through cheap blink spells like Ephemerate and token multipliers such as Reflections of Littjara, Blade of Selves, and Rite of Replication. By prioritizing opposing mana sources, commanders, and key combo pieces, the deck systematically denies opposing resources while assembling a formidable combat force. Support engines like Kindred Discovery and One with the Machine provide sustained card flow, while one-sided board wipes like Their Name Is Death and protective tools like Fierce Guardianship keep the board clear and the commander safe.
