Deck overview

Alania, Divergent Storm helms an Izzet spellslinger deck built around explosive spell copying, burn triggers, and storm finishes. The deck seeks to develop early mana and cost reduction before deploying static damage enablers like Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Ral, Storm Conduit. Alania accelerates value by duplicating the first instant, sorcery, and Otter spell cast each turn in exchange for targeted opponent draws. Once an engine piece resolves, the deck chains copy spells like Increasing Vengeance and Teach by Example to duplicate lethal burn, build massive storm counts with Grapeshot, or overwhelm opponents with tokens from Stormsplitter and Docent of Perfection.
