Deck overview

This is a casual mono-red midrange deck that turns large creatures and enters-the-battlefield effects into temporary attackers. Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink is the main payoff: its first ability copies a creature for {1}{R}, while its expensive second ability creates five hasty copies. Rionya, Fire Dancer, Sneak Attack, Determined Iteration, and several myriad creatures provide alternate ways to multiply attacks. The strongest ordinary combat setup uses Devilish Valet, whose Alliance triggers can create a very large trampling board when several copies enter. The deck also has useful Treasure production, creature-based ramp, removal, and sweepers. Its main weaknesses are high mana costs, limited tutoring, sorcery-speed commander activations, and almost no protection. The copy tokens disappear quickly, and the deck does not reliably convert one explosive attack into a full-table win. It is better at producing memorable board swings than at assembling a compact or deterministic victory.
